Before signing up
Please review the suitability information.
Med-Gym uses advanced muscle stimulation and recovery technologies. While the programme may be suitable for many people, certain medical conditions, implants or recent procedures may mean treatment is not appropriate.
Some contraindications may prevent you from receiving certain treatments offered as part of the Med-Gym membership.
You may still be able to have treatment, so if you are unsure, have a serious condition not listed, or are under the care of a physician, please reach out first so we can help check your eligibility before you purchase.
Every individual will be required to complete an induction as part of their first session.
This allows the team to review your goals and relevant medical history to ensure that you get the best out of your Med-Gym membership.

- Metal implants close to the area of treatment
- Electronic implants
- Cardiac pacemakers, implanted defibrillators or implanted neurostimulators
- Drug pumps
- Pulmonary insufficiency
- Injured or otherwise impaired muscles where treatment is for body conditioning
- Malignant tumour
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Disturbance of temperature or pain perception
- Haemorrhagic conditions
- Septic conditions and empyema
- Acute inflammations
- Systemic or local infection, such as osteomyelitis and tuberculosis
- Contagious skin disease
- Graves’ disease
- Metallic IUD / copper contraceptive coil if treatment is close to that area
- Recent surgical procedures where muscle contraction may disrupt healing
- Areas of skin which lack normal sensation
